Levels Diagram

In order to ensure that the children we see for Speech, Language and Educational Therapy continue to feel confidence and success in the therapy room, we must scaffold our activities to move from those that are easy to those that are more challenging.  When working with activities that are less challenging, we will almost always obtain a high level of mastery and accuracy.  Once this is achieved, we will move onto an activity that is more challenging.  Below is a diagram showing the different levels of discourse that are moved through while your child is completing speech therapy.  Each level is more challenging than the one below it, and this diagram helps to show the natural progression of therapy activities.
